My Visit To Tryon Palace in New Bern NC

I was so excited to be in New Bern NC.  First on my list of places to see, Tryon Palace.   Here is a quote from their website...Royal Governor William Tryon and his family brought architect John Hawks from London to design and build the Georgian-style structure. Completed in 1770, Tryon Palace served as the first permanent capitol of North Carolina and home to the Tryon family.  In 1798, fire destroyed the original Palace building. Their efforts led to the triumphal reopening of the Palace in 1959.  The palace architectural style was described to me as Georgian.   I was told the interior decor was the same.

Curtain Calls and Wine Wishes July 2018

I love the performing arts, and I love wine.  I thought I would look ahead into July and find some shows and wine events in my area of North Carolina that I would like to attend.  I wish I could attend every event but as my mom used to say "If wishes were horses then beggars would ride," another quote she used to throw around was "champagne taste on a beer budget."  I can dream though and sometimes dreams do come true.
Curtain Calls I have heard so many great things about DPAC (Durham Performing Arts Center).  I hear the venue is fantastic and the shows top notch.  I have not been, but it is on my list.  I decided to look at the upcoming July 2018 events at DPAC and choose four that I would like to attend.  Check out the DPAC website for times, prices, and the many other upcoming shows.
