Fearrington's 15th Annual Folk Art Show in Pittsboro NC

As I was researching things to do this past weekend I came across Fearrington's 15th Annual Folk Art Show in Pittsboro NC.  It was not all that far away so Cindy and I took off on the adventure.  Here is how they describe the show....

"Our annual Folk Art Show features the work of self-taught artists who are deeply influenced by the spirit of folk art, naïve art, primitivism and outsider art. You’ll see whimsical paintings, fantastical robots, sculptures, pottery and more. Fearrington has garnered a reputation for bringing together an eclectic group of outsider artists who represent some of the most interesting work to be found in the outsider art world. We hope you’ll experience it for yourself! All sales proceeds benefit the artists directly; Fearrington takes no commission from the artists, nor does Fearrington charge a booth fee to the artists selected for the show. Entry is $5 at the door."

The photos below are from the outside of the show.  We did not go into the actual event.  We had enough to enjoy outside:-)

The bird sculpture above was my favorite.  So much detail and he looks happy.

This owl was painted on an artists truck.

Brodie liked the idea of me being the person your dog thinks you are.  I will have to make it a quote of the day:-)
Get out and explore.  I suggest you try a local event this weekend.
Enjoy Your World
