Paper Hand Puppet Intervention show in Wake Forest NC at the Renaissance Center

I decided to do one of the weekend options on one of my earlier posts,
Plan your Weekend. Things to do in NC March 3rd-5th, 2017
I studied my list and chose the ...Paper Hand Puppet Intervention event in Wake Forest.
It was held at the Renaissance Center in Wake Forest NC.  I asked someone where the intervention comes in.  She explained, based on her knowledge, that it is an intervention to inform folks that there is more to puppets then hand puppets, although they are great too.  Believe me, they are amazing works of art.

Here is what they say on their site,
"Paperhand Puppet Intervention’s mission is to use diverse styles of puppetry and artistic expression to create works that inspire, promote social change and are deeply rewarding for all involved. These styles include: giant puppets, rod puppets, shadow puppetry, masks, stilt dancing and anything under the sky that strikes our fancy."

"Each year we write, create, build and perform a large summer pageant-play-extravaganza. These performances last about an hour, include an ensemble of professional musicians who create an original score of music and involve a cast of puppeteers, which has included as many as twenty-eight performers. Our summer extravaganza is attended by over 16,000 people!"

Definitely not a hand puppet:-)

It was a very enjoyable show.  The artists would venture through the audience.  It was interactive and fun.  If you get a chance, I suggest you check out their site for future performances.  It is well worth it.
Go on an adventure.
Experience The Paper Hand Puppet Intervention.

    1. It was fun. We saw a small version of their show. There were two people in the show. I have heard they have a huge production with many puppets and actors all out in the audience at the same time. I may have to check it out this summer. Thanks for stopping by my blog:-)
